Jim Thomas

Jim worked for Blue Star Line as a Marine Engineer from 1972 to 1981.

He then studied for a degree in Engineering Science at Exeter University and stayed on as a Senior Research Associate and Lecturer.  After gaining a PGCE (Physics and Maths) he worked as a senior lecturer in Engineering Science at Britannia Royal Naval College, Dartmouth.

He has since worked at Flybe as a technical instructor, teaching apprentices and engineers who were studying for their Aircraft Engineers Licences.

In September 2008 he joined NAFC Marine Centre as an engineering lecturer.
