Next week is a busy week...on Tuesday Alan Bourhill (our Business Development Manager) and I are visiting the University of Newcastle to finalise the preparations for the collaborative delivery of a Masters Degree in Aquacultural Technologies from September 2009. This truly is an innovative venture with both organisations playing key roles. The students will spend time at both institutions being taught by a team of staff made up of academics and researchers from both the NAFC Marine Centre and the University of Newcastle. The time spent at the NAFC Marine Centre in Shetland will be spent with our Aquaculture team in our hatchery, at our fish farm sites and also with local industry. This really is a programme that puts theory into practice and produces well qualified and experienced practitioners for the workplace.
